I’m a Vikings fan, but highlights make anybody look good. Ponder’s not
really this good guys. Cassell is the solution till next season.

    Play calling? Really? …. Really?

  • Spencer Kelly 4 years ago

Well, it looks like hes done playing here now. But I just cant believe that
a guy that smart just couldn’t handle it. If you understand the game
enough, you can get by with just an Okay arm. Tom Brady and Russel Wilson
are proof of that…I honestly think part of the problem was the play
calling but I just feel bad it didn’t work out for him…

Hahahahaha… I’ve watched every game Ponder has played in. He’s honestly
the worst starting QB the Vikings have ever had. Hopefully after today (his
fake rib injury benching in London) we’ll never have to see him again!

Being clutch has nothing to do with stats. Clutch is the ability to step up
when it counts. Eli Manning doesn’t have great stats, but hes clutch, Tom
Brady has great stats and hes clutch, John Elway didn’t have great stats
but he was clutch, Dan Marino had amazing stats…but he wasn’t clutch.
Some guys have it some guys dont. The jury is still out on whether or not
Ponder is clutch, BUT, he really stepped up in the GB game last year. He
was the reason we won that game

Are you mistaking Ponder for Sanchez or Romo? Ponder had zero interceptions
in the first four games of the season. He had one interception in the last
four games when we needed him to take care of the ball. He never had more
than two interceptions in a single game.

I didn’t say Peterson doesn’t alter the way the defense plays. I said the
alteration doesn’t help Ponder because the receivers were not breaking any
ankles with their route running skills or beating DB’s deep with their
turtle like speed. I’ll take Ponder over Dalton because Ponder went 10-6
without a world class speed receiver. Dalton reminds me of poor man’s
Daunte Culpepper. He doesn’t have Culpepper’s arm and you wouldn’t know
their names without their speed demon wide receivers.

now we have another weapon on offence thanks to the draft with cordarrelle
patterson now lets see greg childs get better than we got a balanced
    offence

Die hard Vikings fan here, I really like Ponder, even more than most. But I
don’t think he will ever be “one of the greatest to play the game”.

  • ssdaisyful 4 years ago

Christian Ponder is not replaceable. I’ll take Ponder’s intelligence,
mobility, and heart over Andy Dalton’s choking abilities. The media said
Ponder couldn’t win the last 4 games of the season. He did. Ponder gets hit
in the arm with a helmet in the Packers game and continues to play at a
high level against arguably the best qb in the game. He’s not on the
    sideline riding a bicycle.

  • batman91500 4 years ago

Nope! Ur dumb AP is really good and ponder need to get better at throwing
    the fucking ball!

It was his first game and one of his first completions, it was supposed to
show progress. Jeez. Make your own damn video before you come on here and
complain about mine which seems to be doing alright.

Are you a troll, or a retard? Looking at your other comments I can tell
that you’re clearly no older than eight years old. Get off the internet,
wouldn’t want mommy to spank you.

I JUST SEE ALOT OF HARVIN/ EVERYONE ELSE’S HIGHLIGHTS LOL. I RESPECT PONDER
AND WANT TO SEE HIM PROGRESS THIS YEAR AND YEARS TO COME. SKOL VIKINGS!!!

  • Inevit able 4 years ago

In my opinion Ponder is not that good. Everytime he throws the ball youve
got to hold your breath if its an INT or not. I also think he hasnt done so
well because his head coach was a Defensive coordinator before being hired
as head coach. We will see this year if he improves. I hope so because
Minnesota needs a real PRO team to win a championship. Im tired having only
    the WNBA championship.

Think I made this before those games :) but definitely!
