Manny Pacquaio managed to win the seventh world title at the seventh different category when he defeated by technical KO Miguel Cotto in the 12th round.
After a balanced first and second round, “Pac-Man ‘took control in rounds 3 and 4.
However, even if Pacquiao totally dominated the game, Cotto did not give up, despite the fact that those in his corner wanted to throw the towel. Eventually, the referee stopped the match in the 12th round, after another bewildering number of Filipinos.
It seems that Pacquaio’s superb victory opened the door for a match against American Floyd Maywheater Jr., the public chanting at the end: “We want Floyd”, or “We want Floyd”.
