Congrats to young Chase Elliott on becoming the youngest NASCAR Nationwide
Series Champion at age 18. Take a good look cause you all just saw The
Future take shape. Chase has had an excellent season, been very stellar,
and mature beyond his years, those are the makings of a Champion. I somehow
had a feeling he could do it today, cause he is just that good. Once he
raced his way into the top 5 in the closing laps of the race, I didn’t feel
the least bit nervous, other than that last caution for maybe a brief
period. I just knew deep down inside that he had it in the bag. Now that
the weight is lifted off his shoulders, perhaps he can finish the season
with a victory next week. Looking forward to next year and beyond as a
    Chase Elliott fan.

(I’m over anyone who still wants to complain about Keselowski) He may not
be the most dominant but when he gets it done when it needs to be done.

The whole entire time I was thinking about Chase Elliott and I did have
this fantasy of him somehow getting screwed out of clinching the
championship on that restart but thankfully that didn’t happen.

Say anything you want about Brad, but he is one of the best ever in NASCAR.

#NASCAR 2014 Nationwide Series at Phoenix Brad Keselowski wins, Chase
Elliott is the youngest NASCAR Champion ever

Now that’s a stolen win if I’ve ever seen one. I can’t recall ever feeling
bad for Kyle, but that was, “Just bullshit”.

But since Brad won I’m ok with it lol.

  • Leuel48Fan 3 years ago

Ya, we’re just gonna act like Busch won that race, last Caution was
bullshit. Anyways, big congratz to Chase Elliott, we deserved Nationwide
    champ at age 18!

The one time I wanted Kyle to win a Nationwide Series race. Oh well,
    congrats to Chase!

In 2009 when Brad was still a Nationwide regular, I was more focused on his
great season than I was on Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards finishing 1-2 in
    Nationwide points that year.

Just like then, I am more focused on people like Chase Elliott and Ryan
Blaney and their rise to stardom than I am on Brad Keselowski and Kyle
Busch. Chase and Ryan are still climbing their way up and I’m enjoying
    watching them.

The reason I’m not as excited about watching the Cup drivers in Nationwide
is because Brad already has a Cup championship and Kyle has almost 30 Cup

Usually I don’t care when a Cup driver wins these races, but I’ll admit
this one stung a little bit. If he were to lose tomorrow the same way after
leading a ton I’ll probably rage.

NASCAR with their “excitement” cautions… trying all they can to get those
    ratings. Trash.

I saw Chase race at a local track a few years ago and didn’t even know who
he was but got his autograph.
