    that should be cheating

I honestly didn’t see the point in this play. While it’s a cheap, dirty
play at best, there’s no significance in pulling that trick in the first
inning with no score. Why not try it late in the game, where it’s less
predictable? It’s like Helton was saying in his mind “I hate standing here
and letting my feet swell. So, I’m going to be a jackass and try to fake
out the runner so I can make a quick break to the dug out.”

Lol pulled the old angels in the outfield move…didn’t think that was
    really legal….ha

Why did announcer say that Helton kept the ball in his back pocket ? He
did NOT put it in his pocket, he kept it in his glove.

  • IllegallySniped 2 years ago

That was definitely the first-base coaches fault. He should have seen that
the ball wasn’t thrown back and said to stay on the bag.

I respect Todd Helton, he had a great career. Borderline HOF’er that won’t
make it in. With that said, this is bush league shit….and frowned upon in
    baseball.

In his late 20′s, he was one of the best ever. He was a frightening at bat
for any pitcher. I think people forget the video game numbers he was
putting up. If he would have used steroids, it’s almost scary to imagine
what he would have done. He must have felt or noticed some decline in that
    power when he hit 30.

  • Such a gay play..totally bush league

That was Oswalt’s highlight in a Rockies uniform. Being part of a trick
    play.

1st Base Coach, hello come in. Please respond.

  • Alex H 2 years ago

Wow that’s dumb. Carpenter doesn’t even see Helton make the fake throw.
He just gets up and walks off the bag.

  • southerncapo85 2 years ago

The guy on base was an idiot. He didn’t even look up to see the fake throw
back, he just plain and simple was an idiot.

I thought this level of play was only embraced in “Little League”…

  • Anthony Bennett's #1 Fan 2 years ago

    Wow, this sport sucks ass.

  • Ahmad Wright 2 years ago

lmao Since when do you just walk off the bag like that? let alone without
even looking up. The runner wouldve been unprepared for just about
anything. He wasnt tricked he just wasnt paying attention at all

This is on the first base coach.

  • Luis D. Ruiz Santiago 2 years ago

And that, kids, is why your foot is always on the base unless you call a
    timeout XD

  • Bulldogfishmaster 2 years ago

1st base coach can’t yell his player back????

  • HappilyWithMonotony 2 years ago

You can even heard the crowd. Awesome shit.

  • Mark Haswell 2 years ago

This isn’t the hidden ball trick, but it is a major brain cramp by
    Carpenter.
