Wow! I cannot believe Hendrick Motorsports was almost taken out! It would
have been his first out since Sonoma in 2005

Stewart came back from a few laps down and finished in the top 10.. a
rebound from last week,,,,,And a Top 5 finish for Newman as well..

Sad :( Only 125,000 attended the 600 this year, down 15,000 from last
year’s 600! But not surprising because of how boring the 2012 race was. But
still, down 15,000 and lowest attendance in a long time, since sometime in
the 90′s, for such a huge event like the Coca-Cola 600. Hopefully it only
improves from here. Saw so many empty seats! Oh well, 125,000 is still a
lot of people. I just don’t like how big of a drop it was from last year.

I don’t remember Jeff Gordon getting any extra time to fix his car after a
chunk of the track popped up in front of him…twice.

Jimmie hasn’t dominated in a long time? Since about when lowes sponsored
    the track perhaps? o.o
